Why professional fan coil cleaning?
Washing the filter on its own is not enough. Fine dust that gets past the filter sticks to the coil fins and combines with moisture to form a layer. This layer reduces heat transfer and creates an ideal environment for bacteria and mould. Standing water in the condensate drain pan is also the most common source of odours.
- Cleaner indoor air: less dust, pollen and microbial load.
- No more odours: the drain pan and coil are disinfected.
- Energy savings: a clean coil delivers the same comfort in less time.
- Fewer breakdowns: blocked drains and overworked motors are prevented.

What does the cleaning include?
| Component | Treatment |
|---|---|
| Filter | Washable filters are washed and dried; worn or disposable filters are replaced. |
| Coil | Washed with a suitable chemical foam and rinsed; bent fins are straightened. |
| Condensate drain pan | Accumulated sludge and biofilm are removed and disinfectant is applied. |
| Drain line | Cleared with pressurised water and flow-tested. |
| Fan and blower housing | The dirt layer on the fan blades is removed and the balance is checked. |
| Casing, diffusers and grilles | Supply and return grilles are cleaned. |
Fan coil filter options
Panel filter (G2 / G3 / G4)
The coarse dust filter classes used in fan coils: G2, G3 and G4. The higher the class, the finer the dust it captures, protecting the coil and fan.
Washable filter
Can be washed and reused a number of times. Its performance drops if it is not checked regularly.
Made-to-size filter
Cut to size for units with non-standard dimensions. You give us the size, we prepare the filter.
High-efficiency filter
Filter options that capture finer particles for spaces with high hygiene requirements.
How often should fan coils be cleaned?
Filters should be checked every 1–3 months depending on how intensively the space is used. A full hygienic clean of the coil and drain pan is generally recommended once or twice a year, before the season. In hygiene-critical spaces such as hospitals, laboratories and hotels, the interval is shortened.

Frequently asked questions
How long does fan coil cleaning take in a home or office?
On easily accessible units it takes 45–90 minutes including chemical washing. On larger jobs, our team plan shortens the time per unit.
Are the chemicals used harmful to health?
We use products made for fan coil and air conditioning coils, which are removed by rinsing. The area is ventilated after cleaning.
Can I replace the filter myself?
On easily accessible units you can replace the filter yourself; we can help you determine the correct size and class. Coil and drain pan cleaning, however, require professional equipment.
Do you supply custom-size fan coil filters?
Yes. Send us the filter dimensions or a photo and we will prepare the right filter.
